Since 1933, Foundation Credit Union has been operating within the Springfield community. During our first 80 years, we were Springfield Teachers Credit Union, serving the employees of Springfield Public Schools. Throughout the 2000’s we began to grow, adding new counties eligible for membership each year.
By 2012, Springfield Teachers Credit Union had expanded to serve seven counties in Southwest Missouri, and we became what the community knows today as Foundation Credit Union. While we now offer membership to more people than ever before, we still remain centered around what matters most — building genuine and lasting relationships with our members.
As Springfield Teachers Credit Union, we took pride in treating our members with warmth and kindness. As Foundation Credit Union, we continue to do the same, by cheerfully greeting anyone who walks through the doors of our two Springfield branches with a friendly smile.
Even as we continue to grow in the future, we will never outgrow the founding values that our members still enjoy today. We believed this back in 1933, and we believe it now: the best way we can serve our members is by building strong, personal relationships while keeping their needs at the center of all we do.
In 2012, we expanded to serve anyone living or working in Greene, Christian, Dade, Dallas, Lawrence, Polk, or Webster County. We moved to a new location at 1726 W. Elfindale St., and in July of 2016, we opened a second location at 2823 S. Ingram Mill Rd. to become even more accessible to our valued members.
2018 was Foundation Credit Union’s 85th year of business, and while we have grown substantially over the years, our goal remains the same. We are here to serve our members with consideration and warmth. Give us a call today at (417) 895-2770 to reach our Elfindale location, or (417) 616-2500 for our Ingram Mill location. You can also reach out to us online or visit us in person. We would love to see you!
